What Holomint is

Holomint is a free Pokemon trading card app for dealers, flippers and serious collectors. It watches for restocks and queues at major retailers, then does the part every other alert service leaves to you: it works out what the product is worth after the fees you would pay to sell it.

It runs in the browser and installs to your home screen, so there is no app store download and no Discord server to join. Alerts arrive as push notifications even with the app closed.

The problem it solves

Every restock alert service on the market tells you the same thing: something is in stock, here is the link. What none of them tell you is whether buying it is a good idea.

A sealed box at retail looks like a clean flip until you subtract the marketplace cut. eBay takes 13.25 percent plus 30 cents on trading cards, charged on the total including shipping and sales tax. TCGplayer moved to an effective 13.25 percent in February 2026. Whatnot lands near 11 percent. On a $200 product that is roughly $27 gone before shipping, and the margin you thought you had can be most of the way to nothing.

Portfolio apps have the same blind spot. They show your collection at market price, which is not what you would receive if you sold it. Holomint was built because that gap is where a dealer's real money lives.

What every number means here

Pick where you sell, and every figure in the app follows: the alert, the trade math, the portfolio, the grading calculator. The profit you see is the profit you keep.

What it does

Restock and queue alerts

Push notifications when Pokemon product restocks, including Pokemon Center queue detection, with the flip margin already calculated. Set your own floors so you are only woken for drops that clear a profit and return you care about. The free tier is delayed and capped per day; Holomint Pro is instant with a ceiling you set yourself.

Trade Block

Build a pile of what someone is offering, set your cash rate or store credit bump, and see the market value, your offer, the net resale after fees and the estimated profit. Works for two sided trades as well, with a balance verdict. Every deal can be shared as a branded image, which is a clean way to close a negotiation at a card show.

Portfolio

Track sealed product, graded slabs and singles. Cost basis, market value, unrealized gain and realized profit from your sold log, with import and export as CSV. Singles carry a condition from Near Mint through Damaged, priced accordingly rather than as though everything were mint.

Grading calculator

Compare a raw card against its graded outcomes after grading fees, shipping and resale fees, using current 2026 grader pricing and turnaround times. Since PSA paused its Value tiers in June 2026, the entry price for grading changed substantially, and the math changed with it.

Card scanner and lot scanner

Point the camera at a card to identify and price it. Or photograph an entire marketplace listing, a binder page or a pile of singles, and Holomint reads the names, matches them to the catalog, prices each one and totals the lot against the asking price. Both scanners run on your device and work offline.

Who it is for

Common questions

Is Holomint free?

Yes. The free tier includes the live drops feed, portfolio, trade calculator, grading calculator and both scanners. Free alerts arrive on a delay and are capped per day. Holomint Pro removes the delay and the cap.

Do I need Discord?

No. Alerts go straight to your device as push notifications. There is no server to join and no channel to watch.

How do I install it?

Open holomint.app in Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android, then choose Add to Home Screen. On iPhone that step is required before notifications can work, because iOS only delivers push to installed web apps.

Does it work offline?

Yes. The card catalog, both scanners, the trade calculator and your portfolio all work without a connection, which matters at shows where venue wifi is unreliable. Only the live feed and price refreshes need signal.

Where do the prices come from?

Market prices come from TCGplayer data via TCGcsv, refreshed daily. Card data comes from pokemontcg.io. Graded and per condition pricing come from dedicated market data providers.

Who makes Holomint?

Holomint is built by a working Pokemon dealer under Optume Ventures LLC, a Pennsylvania company. It is developed in the open, and the fee math exists because the person building it needed it first.
